The 50th E-Prix in Hong Kong was a day of highs and lows for HWA RACELAB, although the team did achieve a number of successes. The new Formula E team not only secured its first pole position in race number five of the season, but also scored its first points.

A positive attitude is propelling the highly-motivated HWA RACELAB team towards the fifth race of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, which will take place this coming Sunday in Hong Kong. The official test drives after the race in Mexico proved very useful and the team now has reason to hope for an improved performance at the upcoming E-Prix.

The team is complete, HWA AG is ready for a new era. After decades of success in international motorsport, the experts from Affalterbach will compete at another high class of single-seater racing. In addition to sporting successes, the involvement in the new series aims to prepare talents for the path to professional motorsport.

The third driver has been decided. 24-year-old Brit Jake Hughes will be the team-mate of Keyvan Andres and Bent Viscaal in HWA RACELAB’s Formula 3 team. He has already brought home multiple wins in the predecessor series of the FIA Formula 3 Championship.

Highly-rated Dutch driver Bent Viscaal will drive for HWA RACELAB in the 2019 FIA Formula 3 Championship. The talented 19-year-old can already look back on positive experiences with one German team.
