Exactly 25 years ago today, Hans Werner Aufrecht registered the company HWA in the commercial register and thus laid the foundation for a success story. The Affalterbach-based company is a leader in the sectors of motorsport, development, testing and production of high-performance cars and has impressively demonstrated this competence and its performance through numerous successes and projects. Furthermore, HWA is the most successful team in DTM history to date.

Affalterbach, den 28. Juli 2023 - Der Aufsichtsrat der HWA AG hat Herrn Gordian von Schöning mit Wirkung zum 01. August 2023 zum Mitglied des Vorstands bestellt. Er verantwortet als CTO die Bereiche Entwicklung und Vertrieb. Herr von Schöning ist bereits seit 01. November 2020 bei der HWA AG tätig. Zuletzt agierte er als Head of Development Performance Car bei der Gesellschaft. Bereits von Oktober 2007 bis September 2016 war er für verschiede Aufgaben im Bereich Gesamtfahrzeug Entwicklung und Konstruktion bei der HWA AG verantwortlich.

HWA, the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the Ministry for Economics, Labour and Tourism in Baden-Württemberg presented the ZEDU-1 car prototype at Karlsplatz in Stuttgart today. ZEDU-1 stands for Zero Emission Drive Unit – Generation 1, and thus for the prospects of achieving virtually zero-emission mobility with a car. With its internal, enclosed brakes and an extraction system for particulate matter and tyre particles, this electric car allows a largely emission-free form of mobility.

HWA AG continues to drive forward development in the field of advanced and sustainable mobility. When it comes to international motorsport and the production of exclusive sports cars, the engineering company from Affalterbach has been renowned for innovation and environmental awareness for a long time. In cooperation with Knaus Tabbert AG, HWA AG is now applying its knowledge to the market segment for regular road vehicles. At the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, the public was given its first glamps of the new joint project - the electric KNAUS E.POWER DRIVE.

HWA RACELAB triumphed for the first time in this season's FIA Formula 3 Championship at the Hungaroring. Matteo Nannini (Italy) produced a commanding display to win the second of the weekend's three races - the first Formula 3 victory of his young career. This success came as a welcome relief for the team from Affalterbach, which had twice been denied a possible victory this season.
